In cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning, and Infrastructure, the Municipality of Deçan contracted InfraPlus Sh.P.K. for the implementation of a strategic project for the construction and regulation of the Lumbardh Riverbed. This project covered a segment of 2.9 kilometers, with an investment value of 3.3 million euros.
In the implementation of the project for the regulation of the Lumbardh Riverbed in Deçan, InfraPlus Sh.P.K. was responsible for all key phases of the implementation, including technical planning, fieldwork execution, and quality control of the works.
Thanks to our extensive experience and professional staff, the project was completed with the highest construction standards, with a strong commitment to safety, functionality, and the preservation of the natural environment.
In addition to the regulation of the riverbed, pedestrian paths were also built on both sides of the river, facilitating access and usage for recreational purposes. The installation of water supply, sewage, and cable sewer networks, as well as modern street lighting and urban furniture elements, were also included in the project.
This project is one of the most unique works at the national level, carried out with high professional dedication by our team, aiming not only to provide safety and functionality but also to offer aesthetics and harmony with nature.
Main objectives of the project:
✅ Flood Prevention – Preventing the overflow of water from the riverbed during heavy rainfall, protecting both public and private property.
✅ Increased Safety – Embankments and the new riverbed profile reduce the risk for the local community.
✅ Environmental Impact Mitigation – The project was developed with special care to minimize environmental disruptions.
✅ Improvement of Hydrological Function – The riverbed capacity is designed to handle 50-year flood events.
✅ Urban and Recreational Development – The regulated space contributes to the social and visual life of the city, adding value for both residents and visitors.
