On April 29, 2025, in the presence of the Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, the Mayor of Podujevë Municipality, and their respective teams, the Initial Report for the Main Dam Construction Project in Pollatë–Podujevë was presented. The project also includes the water transmission line and the drinking water treatment plant.
The project has been tendered by the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure of the Republic of Kosovo, in cooperation with our esteemed partners ES PROJE Design Engineering Consultancy Ltd. Co. and CEMA Engineering and Project Inc.
During the presentation, three alternatives for the dam location were reviewed, with Axis A being evaluated as the most suitable option, offering the highest potential for water accumulation.
This project aims to ensure a sustainable supply of drinking water for Podujevë and the surrounding settlements at least until the year 2065.
